Dr Rocio Luna Urdaibay (Mexico) is a dance creator, scholar, and educator. She holds a PhD in Art and Culture, a Master's Degree in Arts Teaching, and a BFA in Choreography. Since 1999, she has worked at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, where she has served as Designated Principal, Academic Secretary, University Advisor, and Head of the BFA in Dance, for which she is responsible for its curriculum design. Luna is an evaluator for the Council for the Accreditation of Higher Education in the Arts and a member of the National System of Researchers of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation. In her creative work she develops screendances in collaboration with Ana Baer (TXST-USA), the production of documentary films, and transdisciplinary stage pieces.
